2 {Urgent} Reminders If You Bought a Home This Year

If you bought a home in the Charleston area this year, I have 2 urgent reminders for you!

1️⃣ If that property is your primary residence, apply for the 4% primary residence tax rate if you have not already! If you don’t do it in time (before October), you’ll get stuck paying double to triple in property taxes and it’s a huge pain in the butt fixing it.

Apply for Charleston County 4% Primary Residence Tax Rate

Apply for Berkeley County 4% Primary Residence Tax Rate

Apply for Dorchester County 4% Primary Residence Tax Rate

2️⃣ That being said, tax bills start coming out in October. You’ll receive a bill in the mail but don’t freak out! If you’re like most of us, you are already paying your property taxes in your mortgage payment. If you are unsure, contact the company that services your loan.
